Afternoon all,

I just wanted to pass on my thanks to the organisers with the planning in the lead up to the march and to all who attended for the manner in which the march was conducted, with some excellent work from the marshals.

Unfortunately, I was unable to oversee the latter part of march, as I was involved with the RTC which occurred at the junction with Twirl Hill Road. But I have been advised that all went as planned.

With regards to the RTC, I am happy to report that no one suffered any major injuries as a result of the collision. The vehicle’s occupants and one particular lucky pedestrian were treated by paramedics and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue for shock. The driver of the over-turned vehicle and his young passenger, were taken to hospital as a precaution to be checked over. I have spoken to the hospital and am happy to report they have since been discharged.

From all the evidence gathered at the scene, from the vehicle occupants and witnesses, it would appear that the collision was as a result of mere lapse in concentration and no one involved in the march was a factor in the cause of this collision.

Can I please pass on my thanks to those who tended to the vehicle occupants and the pedestrian and those who assisted me with the traffic.

Thanks again
